Hotel Information

Below is a listing of hotel and motel chains offering corporate and/or government discounts to Penn State travelers. All hotel chains require advance reservations and rates must be requested at that time. It may be possible to get these rates as a walk-in but it is not recommended.

Rates vary from city to city. Government and/or corporate rates provided by these hotel chains should always be compared to any other promotional rates being offered. Always request the lowest available government, corporate or promotional rate. Hotel chains noted with an (*) offer both government and corporate rates and rates should be compared. Specific Penn State negotiated hotel rates are listed under the Hotel section on the Travel Services Homepage. It is strongly recommended that you book your hotel reservations through Travel Services, Travelport or our contract travel agencies to guarantee the lowest rate.

Receipts for Airline Tickets

As a reminder, priced itineraries emailed to travelers or arrangers for airline tickets purchased through Travel Services, Travelport, Centre for Travel or E-Travco are accepted as official receipts for travel expense reporting.  Travelers may print itineraries from www.Viewtrip.com by entering the passenger's last name and confirmation number found at the top of the itinerary to the right of the date.  However, we encourage use of the emailed priced itineraries as a way to conserve and "Go Green" since the Viewtrip itineraries tend to be very lengthy by including unnecessary additional information.
